2005 Honda VTX1300C review from United States of America
"A smooth ride with an amazing amount of power and excellent handling!"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
The stock seat was very uncomfortable, only could ride about 25 minutes before my rear was numb. The seat felt as if it made me sit to far forward. Purchased a Mustang seat, much better!
Just today at close to 11000 miles the turn signal lenses started braking around the mounting screw. Cheap fix though.
General comments?
The VTX 1300C is one of the most comfortable and exciting motorcycles I have ever road, other than the stock seat.
The VTX has great handling and rides like a dream. It's a bike you can feel comfortable on the highway at high speed or leaning her hard into the corners. I as a larger guy don't have to worry about the bike kicking out or sliding into or out of turns.
The power of the 1300cc motor is very smooth but extremely powerful. It does not have a problem with getting out of its own way.
Gas mileage is great considering the times. Very happy that I can ride a bike with some much power and get such good fuel mileage.
Last but not least, this is one of the best sounding metric motorcycle with a set of aftermarket exhaust pipes on it. Accessorizing this bike is so simple, noting that the bike is easy to work on and work with. And aftermarket parts are never ending with this model!
