1983 Kawasaki GT 1100 review from Australia
"Grunt, but not nimble"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Tank rusted and needed to be resprayed and sealed.
New tyres to front.
Slight oil leak from head/block
General comments?
A heavy bike that was best on an open road and not in the city. A lot of power from the motor. The torque from this motor made the bike very tractable and surprisingly economical for a big motor.
Very difficult and almost impossible to pick up if fallen over. Never felt comfortable on this bike due to its weight, although there was nothing wrong with the seat and riding position - just not my type of bike.
