2000 Honda VF1100C review from United States of America
"Great looking, solid, reliable bike"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Nothing.
General comments?
2000 Honda Shadow ACE (American Classic Edition) Tourer -- w/windshield & lockable hard bags. Also came with rear seat w/sissy bar & package shelf behind seat. Pegs instead of floorboards.
Good, solid, reasonably fast, touring bike. Comfortable, but I'm 6'+ & could use the pegs pushed forward by 6". Also, it would have been nice to include floorboards, rather than pegs, especially since this is a cruiser.
Aftermarket Crash Bar, Mustang seat (w/backrest) & Vance & Hines dual rear pipes. Also, carbs were rejetted due to V&H pipe upgrade. 1,100 cc so this bike is pretty quick for being 550+ lbs.
Nice running, beautiful bike. It draws attention wherever I take it. Just wish there was more leg room & pedals were pushed further forward.
One more thing: Windshield is too low; it should have been 2-3" higher to keep the wind out of the face of a 6'+ rider.
