"The urban SUVs of bikes"

What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?

Nothing to date, other than batteries and tires.

General comments?

A great bike, I've taken it to Alaska, to Vancouver, to the Maritimes, and to Sturgis. It has never let me down.

At the race track it will take most bikes, including the Hyabusa up to 100km/hr. Obviously it is not a sports bike, but it will keep up with most of them.

It absorbs potholes and other bumps. The 24L tank means a long trouble free ride. The comfy ride position is a plus also.

For negatives, I would say it is not a dirt/sand bike. Being top heavy, it is very difficult to maneuver.

The gas mileage is great, it consistently gets 47mpg whether going slow or fast.

A rather quick steed for its type, but 'busa beater? Me thinks not. Unless the "eye-abuse"-a pilot has no skill.

As the original poster, I can assure you it will beat most sport bikes off the line. Having huge low end torque, weight distribution, and a long wheel base gets it going while the sportbike beside you tries to keep his front wheel down. I'm not disputing the obvious fact that a Hyabusa will beat it in a 1/4 mile, I'm saying for the first 100ft nothing comes close.
