"It is the most comfortable and fun bike I have ever owned"

What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?

I have had the Yamaha Majesty for about 5 months now and nothing has gone wrong. It has performed flawlessly.

General comments?

This scooter is very fast and comfortable at all speeds.

It gets approx 55mpg.

With the Givi top case I have a total of 106 liters of storage.

Great scooter.

I have had this scooter up to 108 mph indicated, which is about 97 mph actual. It is very fast and comfortable. I am still surprised at how fast this scooter is. I have had many motorcycles before and would say this or the 883 Sportster was my favorite.

There is plenty of storage and is very comfortable going 80 indicated (about 72-74 actual) for long periods of time. I realize many people don't like scooters, but the new maxi scooters are very fast, comfortable and able to cruise with motorcycles with no trouble. And it is probably the most balanced bike I have ever had too.

55 MPG? Slow down Hot Shot. You should be getting 55-65mpg.

I have had my Yamaha Majesty for 1 year now. I have 8500 miles on it and run the interstate to and from work. I cruise at about 70 mph and get 63 mpg. I am very happy with the performance so far.

I am concerned about the v belt change coming up at 12,500 miles. Has anyone changed one yet themselves? The cost of the belt alone was quoted at 297.00. I hope to do the work myself.

Although the manual says to change to the V-belt, these last up to about 35000 miles. If they do break, they do not damage the engine.

The belt can be changed easily by opening the case underneath the air filter. Shouldn't cost much really.

I bought my scooter one year ago, and only put 500 miles on it. Now, I wonder why!! I have rode it non-stop for the past two weeks, and am now itching to get it back after taking it in for its 500 mile service, and to get a top case mounted. I have truly had a blast with it so far, and plan to put much, much more than 500 miles on it this year.

I would like to take my wife on a weekend getaway somewhere, if I can talk her into riding it long distance.

Incidentally, this was the only way I could talk her into letting me buy a motorcycle. She flatly said no, until I said, "But honey, it's only a scooter!" Well, I fooled her!! It is a scooter, but it has the feel of a bigger bike than what it really is. I truly love it.

I've had my Majesty for over a year now, and commute on it daily out in CA. I'm going on 14k miles and just replaced the tires (only because I got a hole in the rear, still had plenty of wear left!).

This scooter has been "trouble free" with only a spark plug replacement.

The v-belt indicator light has been blinking since 12.5k, and since it's so costly to replace, I've been putting that off. It's still going strong, and I've been told that if you don't ride it hard, that the belt could last as long as 20k. I'm in no hurry to spend $300.00 to have it replaced!

I've had numerous bikes over the years, and this is the most fun I've ever had on a bike, and I just love the storage!

I run it between 65-75mph on a daily basis, and although it's no speed demon, it has plenty of passing power along with great gas mileage! One can't beat the price for the performance you get, and the fun of just cranking the throttle and going with no shifting! It gets my vote, especially with the price of gas climbing to $4.00 per gallon!

I have been riding this scooter for three years now. I love it. I purchased a V Belt from my Yamaha dealer for 170.00; seemed a little steep, will drive on the old one till it breaks.

I plan to take it to EAA this year from Minneapolis.
