Speedo cable needed frequent replacing.
Headlights are useless at night.
Other than that it was a fairly reliable and economical little unit.
In Australia, Scooters are only just starting to become popular. Dealer service is a bit "iffy" (I got quoted $200 for a first service which entails 1 replacement spark plug and a general checkover). But that's all set to change with dealers cropping up everywhere.
The Speedfight 2-stroke 100 is really aimed at the younger end of the market. With its sporty looks and nippy performance around town, I can understand why it's been popular in European cities.
No good on open roads though.
I have since sold it and now own a 4 stroke 125cc Elyseo by the same manufacturer.
Having owned Peugeot Scooters, I know that the items that fail on ALL Peugeots is the indicator switch (£35 item plus fitting). The drive belts snap at 13000 miles on 2 stroke 50cc and go on forever on 125cc (if ridden gently).
The build quality is poor, but the engines are quite robust.
I have done 25000 kms on 2 stroke 50cc, and it goes well and used only a little oil. 2 Stoke 50cc returns 65 mpg, 4 stroke 125cc returns 70-80 mpg.
They aren't as good as Honda scooters though!
Great scooter. Will buy another. I'm 20 stone and it still pulls along at 60mph.
