Nothing has gone wrong in the last 19 years!
This is a fantastic bike, way ahead of its time. A real head-turner from people who know what it is. Still very fast.
I agree with this review. I have recently purchased a 1983 Honda CB900F and I am very impressed with the bike. Even though it has done over 43000 miles, it handles like new and is very responsive.
Hello, I´m a very happy spanish owner of a CB900 Bol d´or F1 from 1981, that I bought last year. My question is: I have to change the front fork oil of my bike, and I don´t know the quantity, could someone help me with this, because in my country, this model wasn´t sold in official Honda motor shops.
Thanks for your attention, and sorry about my english.
Awesome... is the only way to describe these machines. My friend had just purchased a new Kawasaki 600, not only is my 82' 900f faster, it gets more looks than these new plastic bikes.
It's not stock, but it looks close to stock. It still has original paint and decals, yet the engine is a brute. 145 hp last time on the dyno. Sorry, no quarter mile times yet, but I think I can get it in the 9's. Keep riding all.
The CB900 looks like a great bike. Can someone tell me how much an 82 with 5500 miles on it is worth? It has a rough idle and some rust in the gas tank.
Thank you
JK
The price will depend on where you live. If you're in the States, I would suggest the cost would be in the $2k range. Go to CB1100F.net and check out what they are selling for there.

I have a CB 900 custom, runs spectacularly, however, at higher speeds (55/75 mph) RPMs around 4000 to 5500 in high gear, almost feels like it needs a 6th gear. Someone told me that these older bikes run that way, any body else?

Yes, I've owned a 1981 CB900F for 16 years, which has 21000 km on it and I love it. The only bike that I would buy next to this one would be 1979-1981 GS1000E Suzuki (I used to have one before, they are both excellent, bikes. but I couldn't find one with low mileage.
