Hi all, I am a pretty short guy - 5'2". Do you think a Pulsar 180 or 150 would be manageable? Do they have adjustable seats?

I agree, the Bajaj Pulsar 180 Dtsi is an excellent bike. But there seem to be several problems that come hand in hand.

The engine is really powerful, but the gear system needs a lot of refinement. Though it has been revamped on each occasion of a new version release, it's still not up to the mark. I'd really like the slick gear system, that the Unicorn boasts of, in the Pulsar.

And after riding it a bit hard, I noticed that there were vibrations from the front end. For a bike with the Pro-biking tag, this isn't very promising. I could literally feel it as I opened the throttle and since the engine was nowhere near to breaking a sweat and the rpm was comparatively lower. I realized that it was coming from the body construction. And it wasn't attended to at the showroom even after I repeatedly told the mechanics there.

The rear nitrox shocks are good, but it doesn't suit the awesome looks of the Pulsar. A mono-suspension would really increase the 'oomph' factor and also improve riding comfort.

So here it is.

The ups -

Best looks and design, powerful and smooth engine, crisp and responsive throttle, an array of assortments like self-canceling indicators and back lit switches.

The required -

A better gear system and body construction, a mono-suspension, and of course better service.

Besides the few problems, it's still a pleasure and an adrenaline rush to ride a Pulsar..

I have bought a new Bajaj Pulsar 180cc. I totally agree with the above comments that various people have suggested. The gearbox of the Pulsar 180cc is really AWFUL and needs serious repair, and the chain sprocket loosens itself very often when you rip the bike at high speeds, and starts creating a sound. And the service in the Bajaj Showroom is so bad that I really don't find a difference in the bike before and after servicing. So I would suggest to get the bike serviced in a nearby good garage.

I bought myself a Pulsar 180cc, and I love it. I get 50km a litre.

My experience has been great on this bike.

I am buying a 2nd hand P180 as I felt it really smooth to drive.. but now am jittery as most people say that the maintenance is too much.. Can anyone shed some light on the 2004 model of 180cc Pulsar which has done 28k on the odometer... This would be very helpful..
