2004 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer review from United Kingdom
"Fantastic - and I think unfairly slated by some of the media"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Nothing so far. It has been completely reliable.
General comments?
Moving up from a 400/4 (37bhp) to the Fazer with around 90+bhp was scary at first and the effort to make the front brakes bite was a lot different (mine is fitted with HEL brake lines).
I have had 'bikes off and on over the past 30 years, but this the the biggest, quickest and best handling so far.
I was a bit surprised at the seat height since - at 5' 8" - I can only just get both feet flat on the floor and I find the backwards rake of the handlebars somewhat uncomfortable on the wrists after 50 - 60 miles.
The digital rev counter is difficult to read in sunlight, but OK at night.
The 'bike is certainly fast enough for me and looks beautiful from any angle.
