1983 Honda VTX750 review from United States of America
"An exceptional bike, with excellent performance for a 1983 motorcycle!"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
I had to replace the starter clutch, because the negative ground was bad (dirty) and the gentleman before me had a hard time starting the bike and wore it out.
The shift shaft spot welds on the secondary shaft on the left side broke loose, and the bike was stuck in first gear until I figured out what had happened.
I re welded the three tooth tog back to the shaft, and now everything is beautiful.
General comments?
The engine performance is 10/10, and the comfort and handling are above average.
The brakes are only fair.
The looks are superb.
Its definitely cold blooded and floods easily when starting.
I love this bike!
