1999 Vespa PX 125 review from United Kingdom
"Lot of fun, very cool and very reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Two clutch cables (one of these only broke because it was fitted badly by my insurance breakdown guy).
I would advise carrying a spare clutch cable around with you - they don't take up much space and the recovery guy won't carry one if you get caught out.
General comments?
To me the Vespa PX is the perfect scooter, enough classic retro styling to feel like a 'proper' Vespa, but with the reliability to match.
I ride mine everyday into the centre of London and it never lets me down. Acceleration is great, disc brake is definitely an improvement on the heart-stopping T5 drum brakes.
The T5 feels faster and is more of a high-revving speed machine, but the PX is more refined - depends which you prefer.
