2005 Honda VTX1300R review from United States of America
"For the price and dependability of the Honda, I would recommend it for the budget minded rider"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
After 8000 miles I'm glad to report that nothing has needed repaired.
General comments?
The stock seat is very uncomfortable, and it was the first thing I replaced.
The fact that the valves are not self adjusting makes for a $600.00 dollar repair at the dealer every 4000 miles, or a 4 hour do it yourself job that is a real pain.
The long stroke of the engine, and it's single pin crank make for a somewhat rough feel during a ride. No vibration, just a rough feel.
There is a lot of "plastic chrome" on the bike as it comes from Honda, and this doesn't hold up very well, it scratches easily.
