1980 Suzuki GS550E review from Malaysia
"Simply, one of the best Japanese Classics ever!"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
The rectifier unit failed.
The swing arm bushes were worn out.
The carburettors started to leak.
One of the rubberized intake manifold cracked.
General comments?
The handling is excellent (unbelievable at first).
The bike is very reliable.
Somehow, parts are still available!
Will keep going as long as you want it to.
Never never ignore maintenance.
Ex-owners have regretted selling it.
Of course, the GS550 cannot be compared unfavorably with the latest bikes.
It is almost human.
