1995 Honda CB750 Nighthawk review from United States of America
"Great motorcycle for fun and transportation"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Starter switch sticks and needs replacing.
Headlight is on the same switch and so does not work now.
Broken speedometer cable from forgetting to remove disc lock.
Two dead batteries since new, first lasted seven years.
Replaced rear tire twice once because of a nail through the side wall.
Replaced the front tire after it was ten years old, because it was getting hard.
General comments?
For the person wanting to learn how to ride a larger motorcycle, the Nighthawk 750 is the best motorcycle out there.
Very smooth power band with no big peaks or valleys.
Decent gas mileage, around 38 to 41 most of the time.
Unless you break something, there is very little that will go wrong on these.
A full service is quite reasonable because of the self adjusting valves. Basically four spark plugs, change the oil, balance the carburators and lube the cables. Not more than $150.00 for a normal service.
