2009 Harley-Davidson FLHRCI Road King Classic

Summary:

Rolls Royce of bikes

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong as yet.

General Comments:

Handling is excellent.

Acceleration is not bad for a 360 Kg plus bike.

The aftermarket seat and backrest makes the boss (pillion) a lot happier than the original.

Finish is of a high standard.

It looks the part.

Expensive but...

I bought a new 09 RoadKing Classic.

From the very first ride I had a problem with bottoming out and hitting hard. Could find no sweet spot as far as air pressure goes. Harley Rep tells me I am the only one.

I put a set of 440 progressives, improved. However, it definitely did not solve the problem. They cost $900.00 and change.

One would assume that the rear suspension is supposed to come standard. The rear suspension on the 2009 RoadKing classic is crap. I certainly expected more.

They have a long ways to go to have the same ride a Yamaha.

That's exactly why I ride a Yamaha!

That's why it's a Harley, and not a Japanese washing machine!
