2000 Yamaha XT350

Summary:

Amazing reliability at an affordable price

Faults:

Nothing other than the usual wear and tear (fork seals, battery...)

General Comments:

This motorcycle worked without a flaw. The six speed transmission was geared a little tall for the dirt, but for cruising around town and the back roads it was fine.

The torque on this bike was amazing. This bike would break traction non-stop from 1st to 6th gear with dirt tires on a dirt road!

The suspension was very plush and comfortable, but too plush for serious trails.

The riding position was very good, it was easy to put your feet down when needed.

The XT is a little heavy for serious trails, but much lighter than the on/off road 650's.

Very easy to start. Automatic decompression made for an easy kick.

The air filter was easy to access and clean.

The rear drum brakes did wear out quickly when used off road.

Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
