2020 Kymco Agility 50
Summary:
Reliable scooter, does its job very well
Faults:
The truth is, the motorcycle itself has very few problems.
However, the most notable issues are idling problems and stalling. Dirt in the carburetor or poor fuel quality can cause unstable idling, jerking, or stalling when decelerating.
If the motorcycle won't start, it's usually due to a blown fuse or a dead battery. Fortunately, it includes a kickstart for these emergencies.
The fuel purge valve or filter may become clogged, preventing gasoline from flowing down from the tank.
General Comments:
The Kymco Agility is a practical and simple scooter, the perfect utility vehicle, designed to satisfy the user looking for a two-wheeled vehicle that can be driven with a moped license but without a motorcycle license. It also boasts an extremely competitive price compared to other scooters of the same size.
As for the engine, it's air-cooled and fed by an electronic carburetor, allowing it to meet Euro 4 emissions standards. It delivers 3 hp and has electric start, but also a kickstart lever, which is very useful in case the battery fails. This engine also stands out for its extremely low fuel consumption of 2.1 l/100 km.
Being so compact and lightweight (97 kg), it features a front disc brake (180 mm) and a rear drum brakeāa simple yet fully effective setup for a vehicle of its type.
Its 12-inch wheels are standard on smaller-displacement scooters designed exclusively for urban use, as they provide maximum maneuverability and require minimal steering effort. Indeed, if there's one thing that characterizes the Agility 50, it's its ease of handling, stemming from its very compact overall dimensions.
For a basic scooter, it's relatively well-equipped. It has a flat floorboard for added practicality, as you can carry bags on it using the hook located under the handlebars. Furthermore, there's enough storage space under the seat to accommodate a jet-style helmet, though not a full-face one.
It's a great little motorcycle for city riding, recreation, and commuting. It's fuel-efficient, inexpensive, and rarely has serious problems.
