1987 Honda VFR400R NC24

Summary:

Bike with character!!!

Faults:

Weak front suspension. Replaced by new as well on the rear. Much better handling!

Adjustment needed for carburetor.

Fuel tank vacuum line got loose. You can't see it when it happens!

General Comments:

I bought the bike at a Honda Exclusive dealer.

It was almost like new, and was the best used VFR400R NC24 I've ever driven.

After a VFR750(2 years) and an affair with a KLE500 for one month, I wanted a VFR again.

The NC30 is more modern and popular, but the original Rothmans paint job looks very good.

The performance and V four character makes it a bike to fall in love with.

I put a Scorpion exaust on it. That gives the V-four sound like it should be.

Fuel consumption is a big minus. My VFR750 did a lot better.

Comfort is also a big minus if you are above 1.75m.

That's the reason I will sell the bike after having it for 10 years.

But for reliability, Honda is simply the best. This bike can run so fast for a 400cc, and the engine simply won't break down!

Next bike: Ducati 600, Suzuki DR200 and maybe a GPZ 500

Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
