2015 BRP Can-Am Spyder RS-S SE5

Summary:

It is a tricycle on steroids

Faults:

Just aftermarket accessories I had installed that needed repeated correction.

General Comments:

Great and fun to ride. Though I never owned a motorcycle, it seems I have more respect when I am riding than motorcycles, because they usually irritate drivers when they ride in and out of traffic.

2016 BRP Can-Am Spyder RS-S SE5

Summary:

Motorcycles are supposed to be a joy to ride; this one is a chore

Faults:

Nothing wrong with the bike per se.

General Comments:

Factory handlebars are too narrow.

Cruise control switch is counter intuitive.

Brakes, though reliable, do not offer secure knowledge that the bike will stop when activated.

Very uncomfortable ride.

Wind is too much of a factor when riding.

You mentioned the extreme heat from the radiator fan. Did you ever try to find a fix for this problem, and if so, what did you do?

2014 BRP Can-Am Spyder RS-S SE5

Summary:

Would own another one today!

General Comments:

It is a fun bike to ride. I am a disabled veteran so it was hard for me to ride a normal 2 wheel bike.

2013 BRP Can-Am Spyder RS-S SE5

Summary:

Not for me, Harley rules

Faults:

Heat melted my shoe toe coming from the front exhaust.

General Comments:

The seat needs to come up higher for the driver.

The card delay does not need to come on every time.

The heat coming off the engine is unbearable on a hot day.

It is heavy and hard to turn on fun roads. If you have a road with curve after curve, you are worn out in a short time.

I am trying to sell, and was told when I bought it the resale would hold up great. Not so true. Can hardly give it away. No one wants to buy it and it is priced very reasonably.

I think this is one of those bikes you either love or hate, and for me I am one of the latter. I would go back to a Harley in a minute, but can't until I sell my Cam Am.

2012 BRP Can-Am Spyder RS-S SE5

Summary:

Worth the money

Faults:

MPG is not as good as I thought it would be.

Owner's manual states 6.2 gallons, but even after filling up with the low on gas light on, the max I ever put in was just under 5 gallons.

General Comments:

Handles great, even in the Seattle rain; be careful as it can still hydroplane.

Very comfortable ride

Excellent lighting for night riding.
