Summary:

Legendary engineering makes this the sport-touring bike to own

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

After owning a 2000 ZX-9r, I made the decision to buy a second one and own both. I tuned my 2002 ZX-9r the same as my 2000, and the results were spectacular.

It too can outrun just about any other bike out there. I use the word about because I like to err on the conservative side, in case there's one bike that can outrun mine. After two years though, I'm very confident that the statement is true.

Both bikes easily run past 240 miles between fill-ups, and based on the fuel left in the tank, these bikes should sputter to a stop at somewhere between 250 - 277 miles.

Summary:

The fastest sport-touring bike ever produced!

Faults:

Normal wear and tear items.

Reliable? Longest day on it so far was 780 miles. You don't even think about issues going wrong. Just enjoy the ride.

General Comments:

Properly tuned, the ZX-9r can make a mockery of other bikes. The new bikes may be a little faster, but not that much and certainly not enough to compensate for the range (250+ miles) this bike carries. Even the touring bikes with huge gas tanks can't stay in its league. Just drag them into a canyon and say goodbye. They'll either wither due to fuel consumption, and you'll blow past them as they stop for fuel, or they're not nimble enough to keep up with Kawasaki's awesome ZX-9r.

Summary:

A+++++ Super reliable and fast

Faults:

Front fork seals, chain/ sprockets, tires, carb adjustments and cleanings, oil changes is all I've done to her.

Plus one turn signal stem my son sat on it (showing off to his friends) and it fell over.

General Comments:

Great bike for the city. Super fun to ride.

Just don't try taking it on any long highway trips; the seating position will kill you after a couple of hours!

Really low maintenance.
