Summary:

Good overall entry level mid sized bike

Faults:

The seat is not comfortable.

Voltage regulator was recalled. Causes battery problems.

Wheel spokes get corroded rather easily. A constant cleaning dilemma.

General Comments:

Has good acceleration from a standstill.

Needs a taller 5th gear or add a 6th gear, as driving at highway speeds, the bike gets very buzzy and there's a lot of vibration at your feet.

The stock seat is just OK. You may wish to get a gel seat or aftermarket.

Overall a good mid level cruiser. I am probably going to trade it in on one of the new Honda 6 speed bikes. I would get another C50 if they decide to add a 6th gear or taller 5th gear.

General Comments:

I just purchased this bike over the weekend, and I love it. Previously I've been a Honda Shadow advocate, but after riding the new Suzuki Boulevard, I'm totally sold. Handles great, comfortable, and turns on a dime. I feel no tension while riding long distance, and it has more than enough power. Great bike for the money.

Summary:

Great beginner bike, great for the price, and well rounded

Faults:

As with most of these bikes, front brakes squeak. Very annoying.

It is a little difficult to clean because the layout of the bike is very compact, and the space is well used.

The seat is fine for rides under 30 minutes, after that, you begin feeling sore.

I do not like how the foot pegs are right underneath the seat. It is also becomes uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. I like to go on longer trips, so I prefer forward control pegs.

Mine is shaft driven, and sometimes it seems to "jerk" when shifting, casually. When I drilled six 1/4" holes in each ballast, not only did it begin to shift better, the response and performance went way up! Has a nice growl to it as well.

Not a great bike for passengers. Rear seat is too small and narrow. This bike has power, so you don't want to accelerate too quickly. You will need to install a back rest at least for the passenger to feel safe.

General Comments:

After a minor adjustment to the exhaust pipes, the bike was more enjoyable to ride. This is my first street legal bike, and I believe that it's a great beginner bike.

It has enough power to satisfy, enough class to not be a joke, and enough quality were maintenance is not to be feared.

I am a 5'9 male, I enjoy my first bike. My next upgrade will most likely be a Suzuki M109R.

The best bike for the price!

General Comments:

The acceleration and torque wasn’t too bad. I found when riding two-up I was craving for more, and then I bought the Suzuki C90.

The overall handling isn't bad, pretty nimble.

Fairly comfortable cruiser, around town and highway. Mine had the upgraded seats. There are a few after market seats available if you want to change them out.

The layout wasn’t too bad. I have found it somewhat easy to perform all of the basic maintenance.

The bike has a lot of available after market upgrades.

A bike to appreciate!

Faults:

Right side mirror fell off. The screw it was holding to had rattled out.

General Comments:

I traded in my 2002 Kawasaki Mean Streak (1500cc) for this bike (made a mutual trade). While this bike doesn't have quite the thrust the Mean Streak had, it still has plenty of punch. I had traded the bike due to the weight, and awkward position on the Mean Streak. This bike has a much more "natural" seating position, but the stock seat really hurts my lower spine/tailbone area after about 30-45 minutes of riding.

All in all, this 805cc powered bike is a really good deal. You get floorboards with heel-toe shifting, a windshield, lots of nice chrome, and a good sounding rumble. All of this is included stock! Furthermore, this bike has Electronic Fuel Injection, a rarity for a 800cc class bike. There are a lot of mods available, so you never really run out of options for customization.

I do recommend the bike; just make sure you sit upright, or get a gel seat for longer rides.
