2007 Triumph Tiger

Summary:

Fantastic performance and comfort

Faults:

OEM brake pads wore out at 5k.

Replaced clutch cable at 11k.

General Comments:

Great bike. Excellent performance and all around very comfortable. Could use a little work in the FI mapping, as the on/off throttle transition is not very smooth. Better wind protection could make this bike a 10.

1999 Triumph Tiger

Summary:

Dual sport dream bike

Faults:

Have had ignition problems with the kick stand safety switch. This was a minor electrical issue, but dealer has had a challenge to resolve the problem.

General Comments:

I'm a big guy; 6ft, 280lb, and this bike is very comfortable, easy handling, and I've ridden from coast to coast, and love to tour this frame.

Sits up high, motor is very quiet, and the overall bike is a pleasure to ride.

Back passenger seat is only good for about 2 hours or riding, while the front seat is great for 6+ hours.

2001 Triumph Tiger

Summary:

This is an SUV of motorcycles, and a good one at that

Faults:

The seat could have been better, but it was better than most. I'm picky about my seats.

General Comments:

The fuel injection was flawless. Ran well at all times, no matter how cold or hot it was. Roll on was some of the best I've experienced.

Loved how I didn't have to dodge rough pavement or pot holes.

The Metzler Torrance tires never disappointed me.

Even though it felt a little heavy at slow speeds, it was very stable as it got faster. Also, the wind didn't push it around all that much.

Wished it was a little lower at slow speeds, but that wasn't an issue after speeding up.
