1996 BMW R 1100 RT review from United States of America
"Is a nice bike, but kind of expensive"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
This bike is a high maintenance witch! Even with the ability to buy parts at the auto store, it still is an expensive bike to operate.
When it runs, it runs good. But I am dreading the day she drops the ABS controller unit, or the hydro-server thing. And with stock rims, tires are expensive due to only "Sport Touring" type tires fitting.
General comments?
I do like the mild manner performance, the detachable luggage, adjustable seat, adjustable windscreen and heated grips and the ABS brakes. The radio is not bad, even though it is hard to hear at 50 mph.
