2004 BMW R 1100 RT review from United States of America
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Had to replace a highbeam bulb.
General comments?
I had the dual spark R1150RT. The electric windshield, heated grips and dual power ports are great. Very powerful electrical system will run many accessories. Once rolling this model handles unbelievably well. The braking is also superb. This motorcycle is well suited for riding rural highways and interstates. The luggage is functional and easy to remove. I found this machine to be very reliable. The boxer engine is strong and a joy to ride.
In my opinion the negatives for the RT are: When full the large tank feels top heavy at slow speeds (parking lot speeds). Maintenance is scheduled more often than similar Japanese bikes, and is more expensive.
