2008 Buell Ulysses XB12XT from United States of America

Summary:

Awesome! Too bad they quit making them

Faults:

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

This bike is quite a ride. I have been riding since I was 8 years old, and am now 52 years young. I've had just about every style of motorcycle out there, from dirt bikes to sport bikes, and a few cruisers too.

The luggage is very functional, and all will hold a full face helmet. The only gripe about the luggage is it takes both hands to unlatch them; you unlock the clasp with one hand, and wedge your fingers of the other hand at the catch end, and pry up to open; not to hard, but it can be a pain.

The motor is a joy. It's got more torque than needed, and will launch the nose skyward in second gear with too much throttle, but you need to keep it above 3000 RPM or it shakes mightily. Above 3000 RPM it's silky smooth. The only problem is you hit the rev limiter at 7000 RPM, so you have to shift quick if you're on it.

It is one of the best handling bikes I have ever owned. It will make a lot of sport bikes look silly in the twisties. With all its torque, it's hard to be in the wrong gear, and the drivetrain has no slop whatsoever; it really instills confidence in the turns.

The brakes are good and provide good feel. The front drags it down quickly, but I think the rear brake is a little on the weak side; just my opinion.

The ergonomics are great for a 6 foot person; handlebars and foot pegs right where they should be for long rides.

Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Don't Know
