2006 Buell XB12S from United States of America

Summary:

Thank God I'm mature enough to not kill myself on this thing!!

General Comments:

XB12Scg model, Orange of course!! Mod air-box, more carbon fiber that you can imagine.

Drummer muffler, heat kit, billet-pegs, controls and more stuff than I can say. Now this is a fun bike!

Makes my modified V-Rod seem like a old Buick in the handling and braking department. My lady also likes the Buell better to ride on. In the V-Rod's defense though, I will not change the factory seat. She is only 100+ pounds but slides off the back whenever I accelerate the "Rod"!

I've owned six V-Max's and miss that sound with Super Trapps, but this Buell is a real kick!

2007 Buell XB12S from United States of America

Summary:

A cute, tight, quick, agile, well balanced bike that produces face splitting grins mile after mile!

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

Oh the joys: I've owned the bike for 1 week (picked it up on 11 July) and put 2500 miles on it, loaded down with about 50 pounds of gear (Washington DC to New Orleans and back).

This bike is absolutely fabulous - runs at speed (80mph) easily, and has much more to give when asked - well endowed where stopping is concerned, and an absolute curve loving monster in a tiny package.

Down side: The seat can wear on the bum after about 75 miles, so it's a good thing I'm looking for gas around 150 (with about 0.75 gallons remaining). Not really the best long distance bike, but if it's all you've got, you'll enjoy it regardless of the time spent in the saddle.

2007 Buell XB12S from United States of America

Summary:

We won't hold the seat against it! Love it!

Faults:

This is our first Non-Honda motorcycle.

The only thing we found that needs improvement is the seat on the Buell... TOO HARD!!! Once you travel 50 miles.. you have to check to see if you have a bottom, because you are numb! Ordered a new touring seat and dealership had trouble cross referencing the tour seat for the Buell. There are four seats, but unclear descriptions. Ordered wrong seat twice.. Need a better reference for the parts people...

The bike is quick, has torque, and gets its share of looks even from die hard HD'ers. Would like to see a back rest or seat with back rest as an option for us older riders. Looking forward to being a part of the HD family!

General Comments:

We love it!

Hate the standard seat -- too hard! It is like sitting on a two by four!

Parts people have difficulty cross referencing the Buell parts.. Four different seats, but limited descriptive info.. they ordered wrong seat twice for our bike.

LOL!!! I have a XB12Scg, which means I have less seat padding than you do. That is one of the ways that they used to get the seat height lower that the standard XB12S. I am almost 51 years old but do not mind the seat too much. It was way better than my V-Max's (of which I've owned six). The stock seat on the Max puts your behind right to sleep after about 75-90 miles, and you have to get off to get any feeling back in your behind. Of course this is about when you have to stop for gas anyhow!!

I also run a HD V-Rod, and the stock seat is OK for the driver, but the passenger better weigh less than 100# and be able to hang on tight!!

2005 Buell XB12S from Australia

Summary:

A seriously good fun bike

Faults:

Have not covered enough Ks for any problems to surface.

General Comments:

Very anti social, but the best fun to ride. It shakes and vibrates, but it makes me grin from ear to ear.
