2010 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUTG Tri Glide Ultra Classic from United States of America

Summary:

The trike provides a great motorcycle experience, and has loads of personality

Faults:

No problems.

General Comments:

Have been very happy with the motorcycle.

Underpowered as delivered, but 255 cams, and an aftermarket air cleaner and high performance exhaust, turn it into a wonderful touring machine.

It is a delight to ride.

Not nearly as sensitive to crosswinds as a 2-wheeler.

It is much more relaxing to ride than a 2-wheeler.

I love the extra storage.

Harley Davidson luggage to put on top of the trunk is great.

The HD dealer network is unsurpassed.

2010 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUTG Tri Glide Ultra Classic from United States of America

Summary:

The Tri-Glide is a great ride to enjoy the roads

Faults:

I have not had any issues with the trike.

General Comments:

The Tri-Glide is a very good ride, and handles excellent in a variety of riding conditions. It is more relaxing when riding in the rain than a two wheel ride. The Tri-Glide easily stays with the two wheelers in the twisty roads.

It is necessary to use the gears to your advantage when riding in the mountains, so as to keep your torque level in the proper range for the steep road conditions. It is also a benefit to use gears on tight twisty roads. I did 1900 miles in two days, and it was enjoyable.

The CB communications system works well, and the intercom also is nice. It has heated grips, which is really nice in the colder weather, especially when unexpected at higher elevations. It is a great answer to riders who are reaching their more mature years.

2010 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUTG Tri Glide Ultra Classic from United States of America

Summary:

Worst Harley I ever owned

Faults:

Reverse failed first day.

Engine noisy at 3,000 miles.

Upper motor mount broke.

Due to noise in the engine, it was torn down. Cases split twice, before rings and valves replaced on rear jug.

Seat replaced twice due to improper fit.

Bolts holding top engine mount backed out and engine dropped down on frame. Bike towed to Harley dealer in Jackson N.C. for repairs.

General Comments:

Engine should have been replaced by Harley instead of the dealer trying to fix it. I was three weeks without a new bike with just 6,000 miles on it.

That bike is gone, but not forgotten.
