1974 Honda CB450 K7 from United States of America

Summary:

A well designed classic street bike

Faults:

Have not had any major issues, knock on wood, only routine maintenance. The bike has been well maintained and stored prior to my ownership.

General Comments:

The CB450 is an awesome bike to have if you can get your hands on a nice original or tastefully upgraded one. If you are looking, I recommend you wait it out and make a deal at the top of the market. Unless someone gives you one, it doesn't make financial sense to sink a bunch of money into this model.

That being said these bikes are way under rated. They are a lot of fun to ride around town locally, especially if you live in a hilly area. Has a great, unique sound that can’t be easily described and can turn a lot of heads. Another thing I like is that all the chrome and metal gets you noticed, which is a good safety feature.

The bike is well powered for its size and pulls really well up hills. 70 mph does feel fast on this bike, which is good and bad. You will not set any top speed records, but the acceleration is adequate.

The handling is great after you get use to it being a little top heavy. The riding position is amazingly comfortable and balances very well with the bike, and whenever I am getting aggressive in a turn I just lean forward and I feel very in control. I am 6' tall 190 lbs, not many bikes this size would be so appealing.

Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
