1983 Honda CB550SC Nighthawk from United States of America

Summary:

Crotch rocket cruiser

Faults:

I have a small oil leak at the head gasket seal.

Fuse box connection where the horn is, is broken, so the horn isn't working.

Just lost the OD gear (6th), and the fifth gear is feeling funny, so it's probably going too.

Other than that, there is nothing wrong with the motorcycle.

General Comments:

For a cruiser with an inline four cylinder with the displacement of 550 (572cc), this bike is amazing! It feels like a sport bike when I am merging onto freeway traffic or when I need to maneuver quickly.

It still maintains the cruiser like comfort that one would expect.

I like the fact that it's a shaft drive bike, and it makes the rear tire easy to replace and the maintenance very low.

Fuel mileage is about 42-44 MPG overall, so you'll get about 134-140 miles to the 3.2 gallon fuel tank.

Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
