2010 Honda FSC600 Silver Wing from United Kingdom

Summary:

Superb transport for the senior rider

Faults:

Only issue was poor initial user handover instruction; I was told either brake when pressed would overcome the safety lockout, but I had to pull in the left lever hard to get initial ignition. OK, a fair safety idea, but having spent 20 minutes trying to re-start the scooter after filling up, I was not very amused.

General Comments:

Absolutely brilliant scooter, just cannot fault it in any way.

So good, I'm seriously considering selling off my custom Yamaha XVS 1100A cruiser - yes it that much sheer fun.

Scooter wise, I moved from a much loved 2004 Piaggio 500 X9 Evolution, mainly because of tax advantage reasons. But boy is this a scoot a real good move.

Has big advantages over the X9, which was the original 'daddy' and innovator of the maxi scooter excellence. While riding, where the X9 will hop, the Swing just glides, it's so good in original stock format, you will just love doing low twisty corners with confidence without any fear of grounding out.

Storage is also brilliant, the under seat compartment could easily become a commode for the more nervous of pillion passenger, and still hold a helmet or 2 along side the poe ;).

Adding a Givvi rack off ebay for £40.00 and a 48 ltr generic top box from amazon will cost £42 ish! Much better than the asking price of £380.00, as this is where I think Honda's pricing is thought as greed and has let themselves down most.

But what more space could you possibly ever need?

On a score of 1 - 10 this, scooter is an easy 20, just THAT good, as simple as that.

Regards, Alan.
