2004 Honda VTX1300C from United States of America

Summary:

You'll be hooked the first time you sit on it

Faults:

I have to refill the gas tank every 160 miles.

General Comments:

My VTX is working on 4 years old now, and I still constantly get compliments on it.

As far as power is concerned... grab a handful, she squats down, and you're gone like a rocket.

Incredibly well balanced, with a low center of gravity makes for fun in the twisties, even though it weighs 650#.

There's plenty of accessories out there, which allows for customization.

Repairs are about nonexistent on this bike... it just doesn't break.

Routine services are a piece of cake.

Service manual is exceptional.

I originally was going to buy an 1800, but when I sat on this bike and felt the balance, I knew it would handle much better. I have never looked back and have enjoyed this motorcycle BIG TIME!

Bang for your buck, you can't beat the VTX 1300.

2004 Honda VTX1300C from United States of America

Summary:

Great bike for the money

Faults:

The horn mount broke after 20,000 miles.

General Comments:

I love this bike.

The stock seat was terrible but was replaced with the seat from a VTX 1800C and all is well now.

Polished the front forks for looks.

Original springs in front forks were too soft, easy fix from progressive.

Swapped rear wheel to be able to use a true 200 mm tire.

Handles great in the turns for the size and weight of the bike.

Acceleration is par for the size also.

Nothing.

The stock seat is very uncomfortable.

The bike has lots of power for take off and acceleration.

It handles beautifully on highway and turns.

Very well balance for a big bike, easier to handle than some smaller bikes.

2004 Honda VTX1300C from United States of America

Summary:

Great!

Faults:

No problems so far, and none expected.

General Comments:

This bike has many after-market parts available, and specialty parts galore!

Stock this bike wasn't the most comfortable for me, but after a BadX seat mod, handlebars with more rise and pull back, and ISO wings for front pegs, I easily ride 600-700 miles without the dreaded monkey butt.

Stock mpg was in the mid 40's. My bike with different mods, pipes, air, and using too much throttle gets me between 36-42 mpg.

Very, very dependable bike. But in stock form looks the same as competing models from every other brand.
