2007 Kymco Agility 50 from United Kingdom

Summary:

More of a comfort cruiser than a speedster

Faults:

Firstly, the acceleration is below average, and the engine is nowhere near powerful enough to take the Agility up an average hill at anything more than an embarrassing 20 mph at best.

Secondly, there is an annoying issue, where by when stopped at a red light, or even if I just idle for a few seconds, the engine cuts out and will take at least 30 seconds to get going again. But once it has warmed up, this becomes a rare occasion.

Finally, the scooter will breeze nicely to the 30 mph mark, where it decides to stay for the best part of 20 seconds, before unexpectedly accelerating to 40 mph and beyond, and this is especially annoying when slowing for speed cameras or red lights.

General Comments:

The folding seat at the back of the scooter doubles up as a very comfortable and convenient backrest, which can take a hell of a lot of weight against it, although I'm smaller build. It's also very simple to put up with the flick of a button-lock mechanism to keep it in its preferred position.

The brakes are very good on this scooter, considering it is now 3 years old and has been no doubt dropped many times by previous owners, as shown by the bent levers, which still work perfectly today.

The handling is superb for someone of my size (6 foot 1 and average build). The need to turn is so little on most occasions, as a gentle lean will often see you happily round most corners, and because of the backrest and general stability, taking your hands off for a few seconds need not be a worry, however dangerous it may be.

Finally, the bootspace is plentiful for such a small scooter, making storing your gear, including your jacket, nothing to worry about. Along with the hook, which can take up to 5kg of weight, the boot is sufficient for a shopping basket full of goods to fit in comfortably indeed.

2009 Kymco Agility 50 from United States of America

Summary:

Awesome and fun to drive, good on gas

Faults:

The only problem I have had was the carburator got clogged, so I took it back to the dealership and they cleaned it, and since I got it back, I've put fuel stabilizer in the gas tank when I filled up. It runs great now, and to fill the gas tank for me it's only like $6.00, and it lasts me like a month, depending on how much I drive it.

I would recommend getting a Kymco Agility 50 like mine... I love it!!! I am a first time moped driver and it's so much fun to drive around town... a lot cheaper than taking my car.

General Comments:

I have nothing bad to say about my Kymco Agility 50.

2009 Kymco Agility 50 from United States of America

Summary:

Money very well spent!

Faults:

A few days ago I had a friend give me a ride up to Charlotte N.C. -about 65 mi north- to buy a new 09 KYM-CO Agility 50; I paid $ 1653 dollars for it & rode it home.

That thing is excellent quality all the way around! It handles like its name "agility". It takes off real quick from a idle stop. I have already put 265 miles on it in less than 3 days and I have enjoyed every mile. It is obviously top quality stuff. I would have no problem with jumping on it & riding it from S.C. to Alaska.

It looks way better in person; The images found on-line do not do it justice. It is wider than I expected it to be. The under-seat storage compartment is huge. It will hold a lot of stuff!

I am 46 years old & have owned many types & sizes of bikes in the past; However, The 2009 KYM-CO 50 is by far the best scooter I have ever owned. I would recommend this little scooter to everyone. Excellent stuff! Buy it & be happy!

General Comments:

Every person who is looking to buy a reliable, economical & high quality scooter will be very happy after they buy the 2009 KYM-CO Agility 50.
