2004 Suzuki Burgman 650 from United States of America

Summary:

Great maxi scooter

Faults:

Battery drained once during winter.

General Comments:

Spectacular bike. Excellent power and handling... a ton of storage space... very comfortable... looks great.

The only minor issue is it's a bit heavy at around 550 lbs without the rear storage compartment.

Nonetheless... I love the bike.

2004 Suzuki Burgman 650 from United States of America

Summary:

This bike would be excellent for both the beginner or experienced rider, and physical limitations

Faults:

I have not had anything go wrong with this bike.

General Comments:

My physician made me get rid of my Gold Wing due to leg and back issues. I had riding bikes for 40 years, and did not want to give up riding.

I bought the Burgman due to its scooter configuration. It has been a real gift for me with my disabilities; I am able to mount it easily, and comfortably ride it in town, on the freeway, on the interstate or winding county roads.

It has plenty of get up and go no matter the size of the rider. If there was one bike I would recommend for people with disabilities, this would be it.

In the same light it is a welcome breath of fresh air, and an experienced rider should enjoy it as well as any beginner.

2004 Suzuki Burgman 650 from United States of America

Summary:

Nothing less than FUN!

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

The Burgman 650 has what it takes to thrill its owners AND humiliate its foes.. It handles turns with precision, and weaves through traffic like a skier on the slopes. As for storage.. if it don't have enough room for your needs, then you have too much stuff! I love not having to manually shift this bike. And it's no pooch by any means!

The best part is wondering what the guy next to you thought when he was just passed by a SCOOTER AT 90 MPH!! I assure you.. you'll be smiling!

The hardest part to get used to is the stupid looks and laughs you get from other bikers. But may the truth be known.. it just means that you have what it takes to please YOURSELF. Go ahead... be differant.. and you'll own the rights to the last laugh!!

I've embarrassed a lot of cruisers so far (and muscle cars) :-)

2004 Suzuki Burgman 650 from United States of America

Summary:

The scooter that thinks it's a bullet bike

Faults:

The bike in question is a Suzuki Burgman 650 Scooter, and nothing has gone wrong with it. Nothing.

The only problem with this bike is getting used to the right and left hand brakes, as opposed to using my right foot for the rear brake.

General Comments:

The Suzuki Burgman 650 was purchased for my wife as an anniversary gift. When we picked it up, she asked me to ride it home for her, until she could get used to it. Traveling north on I-75, I found myself doing 100 MPH, without realizing it. The scooter/bike has plenty of power and comfort on the freeway. As well, it is nimble and easily maneuverable through city traffic.

This scooter/bike (I call it a scooter/bike, because you can't really call it a scooter, in the conventional sense) is like a cross between a Honda Gold-Wing, a bullet bike and a scooter, which is a weird, but wonderful combination.

The seat is comfortable and is designed for long trips. My wife has ridden many motorcycles of all shapes and sizes, being that we're a motorcycle family, but she says that hands down, this is her favorite. As long as it's above 50 degrees in the morning and not raining, she's riding it to work.

As far as balance is concerned, it's the most balanced machine I've ever ridden. Praising this machine isn't easy for me, basically because I've always looked down my nose at scooters. The Suzuki Burgman 650 has definitely changed my mind.
