Needed piston and carb when I bought it. Cheap fix.
Pretty fast for an air cooled bike. Needs to have a bigger pipe on it for maximum juice.
A great bike, as soon as I hopped on it and rode it for the first time, I was in love with it!
It has great handling and great power... for a 1981 model, bike, it's not too bad!
I recommend this bike to anybody!
I got the bike from a friend, and he got it for free and he wanted to sell it... cause it was to big for him. So I told him I'd trade him some speakers for it, and when I got it, it was dirt cheap to get it going. Ever since I've been in love with it, and riding it all the time (I'm also 220 pounds and I can launch that bike over 40 feet through the air, and over 10 feet off the ground, and have no problems).
I recommend this bike to anybody; it performs like a brand new 250. Trust me; I have a 2006 KTX 250.
