1997 Suzuki TL1000S from Canada

Summary:

Great, stable and very fast sportbike

Faults:

Had to replace rear brake sender and spring at 58000 km. Seems to use up the battery power (kill switch off) over the 3 or 4 days (hard starting).

General Comments:

Love this bike, bought it by chance, came with power comm. Goes like stink.

1997 Suzuki TL1000S from United States of America

Summary:

Looking to get another low mileage one

Faults:

TPS sensor had to be adjusted often.

Eats rear tires and chains (normal for a twin).

General Comments:

Ridding the TL1000s was a ton of fun.

I had an after-market exhaust and love the sound.

The above mentioned TPS sensor was adjusted at least 4 times in the 17k miles I put on it; what a pain.

The best change I made was to fit some better brake pads.

The roll on power made traffic easy to deal with, without changing gears all the time.

The riding position fit me fine (5'10").

Overall my this has been my favorite bike ever, and I have rode quite a few. A bit savage, but once you get to know it, nothing but fun. This bike actually has a personality or character, which is something you can't say about most bikes these days.
