General Comments:

This bike is designed with a split personality. The throttle selector permits smooth acceleration and comfort for taking a passenger with you, while also permitting crisp response in sport mode when alone.

Having owned an ST 1300 (which was a terrific bike), the FJR removes the heft that was at times disconcerting without feeling an overwhelming urge to act like a teenager at every light, which my Speed Triple inspired.

There are 2 flaws which prevent perfection IMHO - we all agree a 6th gear would be nice, and secondly the seat is too firm for a 10 hour day. Otherwise I am struggling to find a weakness in the machine. The best bike I have ever had the pleasure of owning.
