I love this bike, my first, but wish valves didn't need adjustment at 4K mile intervals
Bracket holding electrical gizmo next to the horn broke. Replaced at 15,000.
Screws holding the gas cap came loose. One came off and went into the gas tank at 17,000.
At approx 21,000 the final drive shaft was replaced. The clunking associated with shifting stopped, along with a leak.
Now at 25,000 there is an oil drip coming somewhere from the rear cylinder (back side) that is getting worse. Don't know if it is a seal or worse... will keep adding oil until I can get it repaired. Thought it was the neutral switch, but that wasn't broken until I tightened the torx screws and broke off a tab.
Valve adjustments every 4K miles is starting to get expensive.
Friction zone starts late in clutch release, but I'm used to it.
If stuck in neutral at a stop, I just release the clutch, then shift into first gear.
Oil sight glass is hard to see.
Bike loves to go 70-75 on the interstate, and 40-45 is perfect around town speed.
Gas MPG isn't as good as I thought it would be, but that's because I'll go 75-80 frequently.
Wife wants me to get a more comfortable back seat.
Added highway pegs, and I'm now addicted to them.
Luggage rack is very useful.
Leather bags don't keep out the moisture.
All that said... I love this bike. Looks great, reliable, tempted to keep it even though I am looking for a touring bike. Sounds great once it has been running for a little while in chillier weather - great tonals. Great learning tool as a first bike.
Would you buy another motorcycle from this manufacturer? Yes
