2008 Yamaha Vino 125 from Ghana

Summary:

Lovely little thing

Faults:

Practically nothing. The only problem is the ignition with no spark or lights, which is usually caused by a blown fuse in the starter relay.

And also poor acceleration, which could be due to a power outage, a dirty or poorly adjusted carburetor, or a clogged air filter.

Beyond that, no problems. The bike just runs, runs, and runs.

General Comments:

Its retro and classic design is its most attractive feature; the bike is so beautiful that it catches your eye. The Vino 125 stands out for its vintage aesthetic, with chrome elements like the headlight, mirrors, and instruments, and an overall design reminiscent of scooters of yesteryear.

Its low seat provides ample legroom and is a great advantage for short drivers (not my case but it fits well for this type of person) or for those who prefer a more accessible position.

It has a 124cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, SOHC single-cylinder engine that is very durable and reliable in my experience, and its operation is very efficient for urban use (the motorcycle is designed precisely for this type of use).

So far I haven't had a single engine problem, and it's also super economical and efficient.

Although its small 10-inch wheels can cause instability at high speeds, they are suitable for agile maneuvering in urban traffic.

In addition to the electric start, it has a backup kick start, a useful feature to have in case of battery failure.

2009 Yamaha Vino 125 from United States of America

Summary:

Loads of fun!

Faults:

No problems.

General Comments:

The Vino 125 is a quick & easy to ride scooter.

It has a very sporty look with the chrome, mirrors, turn signal lamps, gauge's etc. The seating is really comfortable & it handles itself quite well.

The performance matches the looks. It will cruise along nicely at 40-45mph, mine is still being broken in so I haven't gone much above that, but I agree with the left over throttle that it will reach its 60-65mph mark.

The fuel economy is also remarkable. I've averaged at 92 miles per gallon. The Vino only has a 1.24g tank, so depending on how much you ride, you may be filling up often.

The only thing that I wish was better is the wheel sizes. The Vino's 10" with its 240lb weight takes some getting used to above 40mph, especially on a breezy day. I would like to have the new Zuma 125's 12" wheels, but I prefer the overall look of the Vino over the Zuma.

For 2,500.00, the price I paid for a brand new 2009 version you can't go wrong. I look forward to a lot of happy years riding this cycle.
