1976 Yamaha XT500C review from Australia
"This would have to be the "Harley Davidson" of the trail bikes"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Front fork seals blew.
Blinker unit failed.
Throttle cable broke.
Clutch cable broke.
Rear fender rusted out.
General comments?
The thumper is one of the best bikes ever built, and will go all day, every day.
Starts no problem and is very comfortable to ride with a low seat height for short people like me.
Has a great sound to it after removing the muffler.
Seems dated now compared to all the new bikes around, but the problems I have had with it are just age related, the motor has never been opened up.
