4 pistons all during racing, finished very few races.
1 jug, miked it to find it not round.
Still uses pistons like most bikes use plugs.
Never in my riding life of over 40 years have I been around any motorcycle that demands more service than this KTM.
I have to think there is a problem at the crank. Yeah, we all get a bad vehicle sometimes.
I hav owned a KTM 125 SX since 2002. I ve only had to rebuild it 4 times since new. I only race every second month, and the bike has been nothing but enjoyable.
I own a couple of KTM 125's and find them to be very good motors. You found the jug to be out of round after going through 4 pistons. It should have been checked after the 1st piston was replaced. Problem may have been found and repaired. I have raced with my 125's with no unusual wear. If you have been a racer for 40 years, you know how racing bikes are.
I am interested in a KTM 125 SX and I have heard good and bad, so I am not sure what to do???
