1989 Honda CBR250R review from Australia
"What else do you want besides more power?"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Mechanically, apart from normal wear and tear... Nothing.
General comments?
This was my first bike. Comfortable, economical, popular, cheap and so so reliable... Never skipped a beat. Started every time on cue. The bike did lose power when the spark plugs were ready to be changed, and they were difficult to get access to, but the bike still rode well.
I used to leave it for a week and it will still start first go. Unless you left the fuel switch on and flooded the carby.
Very quick bike, maybe even the quickest in its class, but you will want more power when you become more experienced.
Comfortable bike. I rode for almost 3 hours straight and was still feeling good. This bike also handles well, especially when you learn how to get your bum off the seat.
Brakes are great. Haven't had any problems using the gearbox to slow down as well.
Holds its value well.
