1982 Honda CM450 Custom review from United States of America
"This is the best investment I have made in a long time"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
Front tire was dry rotted; cost 50.00 for a new tire.
Needed a battery; 30.00.
Front brake was a little sticky; took it apart and cleaned it up, and it now works great.
One fork seal started leaking at 9100 miles; cost 21.00.
General comments?
I bought this bike from a friend who bought it new. He put 8700 miles on it in 16 years, then parked it for 9. I paid 800 for it and had it running within an hour, and was riding it the next day. It looks and rides like new, and with every tank my gas mileage goes up.
This bike is a joy to ride on country roads and in town. I do ride it on the freeway everyday to work, but I adjusted my departure time to avoid heavy traffic.
