I'm 6'3 and looking for my first bike. You think the M50 would be a good pick? I have not sat on one yet to get a feel for it..

I am looking to buy a low or mid end cruiser... this is my second bike after a Honda 125. I am only 5.5. I have my eyes on either the S50 or the M50. Is there something else I can look at... based on the reviews and even the pictures.. I like to look of the M50. Need help in deciding what to go for...

There was a test by Motorcycle.com last year, between the Honda Shadow, Harley 883C, Kawasaki VN900, and the Suzuki Boulevard M50. Although the Kawi was more comfy for long rides, everyone preferred the Suzuki for general riding. Better handling, corner clearance, and equal grunt. Sadly Harley have dropped their bikes so they ride like hard tails, and the Honda just couldn't keep up.

I happen to like the look of the new M50s, dials in particular, and I definitely prefer the new rear end - it stops the pipes sticking out so far. I have ridden an older Suzi S50, and loved the engine. If I can improve my health and the weather doesn't do its usual winter thing, I could well be in line to get one.

I know this is a VERY old post, but there are riders that still might be curious.

I'm 6'4", about 210lbs and I ride a 2008 M50. It is one of the few bikes (2003 Honda Shadow Ace 750 being the other) that I am totally 100% comfortable riding. I have long arms and legs, and have plenty of room to stretch them out for 8+ hour rides with no cramping, soreness, etc on the M50.

Hope that helps someone in deciding...
