1997 Triumph Trophy 1200 review from United States of America
"Wonderful tourer with comfort and handling"
What things have gone wrong with the motorcycle?
This bike has been such a reliable tourer. It never left me stranded!! The clock was kind of erratic. I did have the wiring harness under the fairing wear down, and it caused the headlight to stop operating. I fixed that on the road.
General comments?
Like everyone else says, this bike was underrated. The short comings were not having a shaft drive, which makes touring much more easier. The suspension was soft, so I installed Racetec in the front and an Ohlin in the rear. Made for a much more competent ride.
Great luggage, and I had the heated grips and the rear trunk. I did get my money's worth!!! Loved the bike for what it was... a great touring machine.
