I just changed the oil today after 3000 miles, and it looked almost clean. Total miles are 15300.

How many miles can you expect to get out of the 750 V4?

I would say as long as you perform routine maintenance, you should be able to get at least 100,000 miles, if not many more.

The most important thing you can do to prolong engine life is change the oil regularly. I change it at 3000 miles. Read the owners manual and follow the recommended maintenance schedule.

This includes things like valve clearance, coolant, spark plugs, air filter, chain & sprockets, tires, fork oil,

brake fluid, brake pads & shoes, and others.

Thank you for responding to my post. Now I'm going riding!

I have a 97 VF750 with 87,000 on the meter. Starts on the first crank.

Ride a couple hundred miles a week. This 'Black Beauty' and I (at 75) are going to finish our rides together. I know it will make 100 thou, and I would take a bet on 150 thou.
