Summary:

It's fun to ride, and I feel safe

Faults:

Had two throttle bodies go out. One at 847 miles, and one later.

Had the DPS and VSS codes come on at different times.

Had limp mode come on several times.

General Comments:

This trike has helped get me through a rough time in my life.

I've never had a big bike, and I learned how to ride this in a short time, and was comfortable in doing so.

It gets a lot of attention from everyone, including other bikers.

I'm 70 and have friends in their 80's riding and loving it. They feel safe and comfortable.

Summary:

Great motorcycle overall, and I would buy it again

Faults:

Auto locking glove box does not lock; from day one.

General Comments:

This Can Am handles great, good acceleration and stopping distance.

Looks are way cool.

However, upgrades are expensive, and many should have been standard from the factory.

Summary:

State of the art

Faults:

CB radio has a lot of noise when transmitting. So bad that those I ride with do not want me to talk, since they cannot understand me unless the Roadster is not moving. This is a Can-am radio, dealer installed on my RTS.

General Comments:

Hard to let go of my Harley mentality, but once I did, I found the Spyder FUN, FUN, FUN, and no worries about dumping it in a gravel parking lot.

Love the heated grips.

Due to a disability, the driver pegs caused pain in my left foot. Added full length floor boards - problem solved.

I have 2011 Cam-Am RT. I have the same problem with my CB, they have replaced the CB 3 times; still the same problem.

The dealer says they will not add a filter, and said it would invalidate the warranty.

Does anyone know of a fix??

Summary:

A nice bike for the retired group, who want to feel young again

Faults:

The bike is the Limited Edition, and the GPS system that came as standard is a nice feature.

The seat is comfortable, and there is room for two riders.

The storage compartments came with luggage, and there is room for lots of gear.

The gas gauge is not accurate, I get an empty reading and there is still 2.5 gallons left in the tank. The dealer changed the fuel pump, but that didn't change anything.

I get 32 MPG, but the manufacturer doesn't believe that is possible. However, I'm an not an aggressive hot rod driver, and I have continued to check the mileage, and it is better than advertised.

I like having the security of the 3 wheel system, as I am older.

General Comments:

The bike comes equipped with many more headlights and back lights than most bikes.

Summary:

A totally new riding experience for all ages

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong to date.

General Comments:

The roadster has changed my thinking of what cycling is about. This design has allowed us in our 70s to continue cycling. And it's ridden through spring to fall, and into the winter season.

As a former two wheeler, it does ride differently than a cycle. But just remember to handle this roadster like it's a snow mobile that corners like a go-cart, and you'll get the handle on it quick. I find I still have my cycle habit in my head, and drift into the left or right side of the drive lane. In the old days, the middle was always black with oil, and dead man's land on hot or rainy days. You ride this one like a trike, and park it like a car.

Ride and comfort are great for touring, but a little weak on MPG. It's quick off the line and very quiet. The ROTAX two cylinder engine is just flawless. Redlined at 9000 is just out of sight.
