2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50

Summary:

The Suzuki M50 is a piece of crap

Faults:

The Suzuki M50 is a lemon. Since I owned it new, it backfired and blew ignition fuses, and no dealer could fix it. Then it was recalled, and I even had to pay to have the recall done, even when the bike was covered under an extended warranty. Every time I took the bike to the dealer for a warranty problem, I got charged for it.

The bike wobbles and vibrates above 50 mph. The dealer said new tires and a wheel balance would correct it, but after another $400 for new tires it still wobbles and vibrates.

The lean forward riding position is uncomfortable, the bike lacks any acceleration and power, it blows black smoke from the exhaust, and the bike is an embarrassment. I hate IT!

General Comments:

It's a cheap, generic, low quality bike, that's hard to ride and offers no performance.

I am curious; how did you get charged for warranty work when the bike was under your warranty? Any recalls on any bike, car, etc. is always covered for free. If you got charged for these services, you need to make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, or your State Attorney's office.

I have owned a M50 since their debut in 2005. I haven't had 1 problem with mine. I wouldn't paint all M50's as lemons. Maybe just yours is. I didn't have to pay for my recall, and other than that, it hasn't been to the dealer.

I love everything about this bike. It is in the 800 class, so you have to look at it's competition. It is a 10 times better bike than any sportster I've rode. I'm just saying to not paint such a broad stroke.

The guy who wrote these comments must have bought the Chinese version of the M50.

LMAO. You're right. I've never had a problem with mine. I still have it and it's an 05. Never even had a dead battery. Changed the tires once and fluids regularly.

Summary:

Better bike for the buck

Faults:

Not a thing - This bike rates high on the reliability scale. I just wish there was less plastic.

General Comments:

Great bike for the sub 900CC Class.

Much more bike for the money than its Japanese competitors.

The handlebars are a little far for my short arms.

Brakes are not as grippy as I would like.

Open highway bike; handles like a dream.

Summary:

As long as I ride, I will spread the Gospel of this wickedly good ride!

Faults:

So far, so good.

General Comments:

The take off speed is wickedly spine chilling fast. The overall performance is mind-numbing compared to the great price on this machine.

Summary:

The most bang for your buck!

Faults:

I have had zero problems with this motorcycle. It's the most reliable thing I've ever owned.

General Comments:

I love it; I bought it brand new because it was freakishly cheap in Orlando, and I have put over 6000 miles on it with not a single problem. This bike sat outside through 5 hurricanes and survived a direct hit from a tornado (which destroyed everything but the bike, including my car, house, motorhome, pickup etc.)

I would buy this bike a dozen times over, I wish I could buy another one for my wife honestly, but she's never been on one.

The only thing I don't like about it, is that it's not particularly comfortable for my wife to ride with me, but it's not meant to be either.

Summary:

This is a sweet looking and riding bike!

Faults:

There has been nothing go wrong with this motorcycle as of today, and I don't forsee anything going wrong for quite a while.

General Comments:

Great bike. I wasnt too sure how it was going to be when I got it, but I had to get it since I got an outstanding deal on it. Who can pass up an M50 Black with 3056 miles in perfect condition for $2500.00?? A guy that my wife works with, that I have met a few times, knew I was in the market for a bike. He was moving out of the country and decided to hook me up, I couldn't say no. Best purchase I have ever made, hands down!!!
