Leaking front brake master cylinder.

I've only had this bike two months, but have put more than 2,000 miles on it thus far, and in a word, it's spectacular. I've never ridden a more comfortable, solid, yet responsive bike out of the 8 I've owned. It has amazing power at all RPM ranges, and yet is smooth as silk.

I agree with some reviewers that the 10-speed transmission is more hype than anything, as I rarely need to shift the bike out of the high range, and never lack for needed power.

If you come across one of these, buy it! You won't regret it!

Replaced tyres.

Needed a tune up.

Have owned this motorcycle for many years, it has very low mileage on it & have just put it back on the road after sitting in the shed for considerable time. Thought I would rego it just as a conversation piece, as I have only seen one other in Australia.

I was told I wouldn't be able to rego her, but she went through rego in NSW with no problem. A smooth ride for pillion as well, & very much an eye catcher.

Front fork replaced, lost rectifier and alternator.

The bike never let me down. I owned it for 22 years almost to the day. Great ride, excellent gas mileage, nice looking bike. Wish I still had it. I would buy one again if they were available.

I had an occasional front caliper that would stick and require cleaning, otherwise no problems.

I loved this bike and wish I had it back. The high/low tranny was a nice feature.

Brakes were seized when I bought it, but I replaced front brake master cylinder and added brake fluid, bled and it worked! Still riding with only front brakes.

Front fork seals/dust covers replaced by my mechanic. Carbs rebuilt by mechanic, though needles stick and leaks gas at the carbs until run.

Though this bike is 28 years old, it is quick, agile and really fun - total investment about $1,200.00 so far. New tires for next riding season.

Original factory tires very hard compound, would hydro-plane on wet pavement, rode hard when cold, replaced at 500 miles. Absolutely no problems with the bike, totally reliable.

The 1981 styling is still modern looking. Bike is very fast, has adequate handling, comfortable, low cost operation. Rider position too far forward, replaced the seat to move rearward. Have owned Triumphs, Harleys, James, other Hondas, Zundapp ---- nothing comes close to the 900, everything considered.

I just bought this bike. A previous owner has completely redone the engine and apparently all rubber parts. My mechanic says that it seems like a new bike.

This bike is based on the CB750. The engine is bored out to 900 cc. Shaft drive. 5 speed transmission with a 2 speed sub transmission. Think of it as a 10 speed bicycle transmission. I use it as if I have an overdrive for each gear. If I am rolling at 40 mph in 3rd, I'll switch to the high range for a lower engine speed, less noise and better mileage.

The shaft drive means that I do not have to grease a chain every time I come back from a long ride.

I understand that most parts are pretty easy to come by except for the side covers and the exhaust system.

As a standard bike, the riding position is very comfortable. The saddle needs some work. It seems comfy at first, but after an hour I get pretty shifty on the seat. While it is interesting, I do not see a big advantage with the air suspension.

Gas mileage is poor for a motorbike at about 40 mpg.

This bike is very fast and responsive. I've ridden some sport bikes that handle better, but the acceleration is just awesome - or at least feels that way.

I would buy this bike again. Not a good first bike as it is very heavy (over 600 pounds), fast, and the 10 speed transmission takes an experienced foot to handle.
